Laura Pastor Gim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, pianist and composer born in Barcelona, is recognized for her extraordinary energy and expressiveness on stage, captivating audiences with performances of great emotional intensity and artistic depth. Considered one of the most promising young pianists on the Spanish musical scene, she combines her career as a concert pianist with an active role as a composer, educator, and music promoter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the age of eight, she has built a solid career as a soloist, performing in major concert halls across Spain and Europe, including the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Auditori de Barcelona, Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana, and Salle Cortot in Paris<\/strong>. She has been invited to prestigious international festivals such as the Nohant-Chopin Festival and the Festival de Piano \u00e0 Castelnaudary<\/strong>, establishing herself as a reference in both classical and contemporary piano repertoire. She has performed as a soloist, with orchestras, and in chamber music ensembles, collaborating with distinguished musicians and groups. Her interpretation is characterized by deep musical sensitivity, refined technique, and a constant pursuit of expressiveness and authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is currently working on her debut solo piano album<\/strong>, which will include a selection of her own compositions alongside works by other composers. She will soon announce the album\u2019s release and embark on a concert tour<\/strong> to present it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura has received numerous awards in national and international competitions, including the First Prize at the Antoni Besses International Piano Competition<\/strong> (multiple editions), the First Prize at the Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin Competition of the \u00c9cole Normale de Musique de Paris<\/strong>, the Soloists Competition at the Conservatori Municipal de M\u00fasica de Barcelona<\/strong>, as well as distinctions at the Concours National de Piano de Chatou<\/strong> and the Concours International Les Cl\u00e9s d\u2019Or<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In chamber music, she has also been awarded in various competitions with different ensembles, notably winning First Prize at the Antoni Besses Competition<\/strong> (duo and trio), Third Prize at the l\u2019Arjau Chamber Music Competition<\/strong>, and the Bronze Hands Prize for piano four-hands at the Carles & Sofia International Competition<\/strong>. She has performed in Spain, France, Italy, and Hungary with different chamber ensembles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside her performing career, Laura has been actively composing since childhood, writing music for solo piano, chamber ensembles, and radio projects<\/strong>. She has won several composition awards, and her works have been presented in prestigious concert halls and festivals. Her music, which oscillates between lyricism and innovation, reflects a fusion of tradition and modernity, exploring textures and sonic colors with a distinctive personal voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Committed to music education, she is currently a piano professor and accompanist at IEA Oriol Martorell<\/a> in Barcelona<\/strong>, where she mentors young musicians in their technical and artistic development. In addition to her teaching and performing activities, she annually organizes the \u00abEn Clau d\u2019Estiu\u00bb Music Course and Meeting in Barcelona<\/strong>, a project that brings together renowned pedagogues and concert artists<\/strong>, offering masterclasses and concerts<\/strong> for student and professional pianists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
